Located in Tzaneen, one of the prime macadamia growing areas of South Africa, Red Sun Hortitech is a five star SAMAC approved nursery that produces in excess of 200’000 macadamia trees per annum to commercial growers. Trees are grown in Tzaneen and distributed to leading macadamia growers nationally and internationally.
Red Sun Hortitech controls the mother blocks established by Sapekoe (SAMAC) in Tzaneen in the early 1990’s. As a result, Red Sun Hortitech has access to plant material that is completely traceable and true to type. In addition, Red Sun Hortitech has also established its own mother blocks on the nursery site.
Red Sun Hortitech utilises the latest advances in tree production techniques and compliments it's in house skills base with inputs from local and international macadamia and horticultural specialists.
